The agritourism "La Piaggia" was born some years ago from the idea of Teresa and her family, as, after having bought this abandoned property, they decided to change it into an

agritourism.

The agritourism is located in a spectacular place, thanks to its panoramic position on the Valdi nievole, and, because of the beauty of i t s natur e , it is particularly indicated for

relaxing tourist tours. It has a strategic position for a quick arrival from the highway.

Once arrived at "La Piaggia" the guests can choose between different recreational activities: the panoramic and landscape way through the wood and the rose and aromatic plant way. Through these paths the guests can admire the numerous variety of roses, from the ancient and rare to the unusual and scented ones. The yellow colour of the lemon trees and the scents of lavender, sage and rosemary will be the background of a pleasant day.

The main activity of the agritourism is the production of plants, together with the production of oil: moraiolo, frantoio and leccino and red and white wine: the red wine is formed by

S. Giovese Cabernet Savignon Cirac 12,5 % volume

Red S. Giovese Cannaiolo Malvasia 12% volume.

The white wine:

Vermentino Trebbiano Chardonnay 12% volume.

The particular sunny position, combined with a particularly suitable ground, gives to all the products of the farm a unique and inimitable taste.

Here a typical lucchese tomato is produced, the "canestrino", whose tastefulness is exalted in the bruschetta. Furthermore it is possible to taste the cannellini beans, the pumpkin flowers and other delicious food of our production.

The focacce are cooked in our wood stove, together with typical local cheese and cold cuts.

The afternoon snacks can be simple and short or more nourishing with a longer stay.

The guests are welcomed by the warmth of this family in a wide gazebo placed among olive trees and equipped with tables, where the guests can taste and buy all the products.

The guests can also have guided tours to the vineyard, the olive grove and the garden centre, where the production will be explained to them.
